Course Information
All courses run for six weeks with sessions held twice weekly. Each session lasts two hours with a break for refreshments. Classes are limited to eight participants to ensure personal attention.
Basic Computer Skills Course
This foundational course covers everything you need to get started with computers. You will learn how to turn on and shut down a computer properly, use a mouse and keyboard, create and save documents, organize files into folders, and navigate the desktop environment. We also cover basic troubleshooting so you can solve common problems independently.
Internet Safety & Email Course
Learn to navigate the internet with confidence while protecting your personal information. This course teaches you how to browse websites safely, recognize phishing attempts and scams, create strong passwords, set up and manage email accounts, attach files to messages, and understand privacy settings. You will leave feeling secure in your online activities.
Social Media Basics Course
Stay connected with family and friends through social media platforms. This course covers creating Facebook accounts, posting updates and photos, understanding privacy controls, using WhatsApp for messaging, joining groups with shared interests, and managing notifications. We emphasize safe sharing practices and how to maintain your privacy online.
Online Shopping & Banking Course
Discover the convenience of managing your finances and shopping from home. You will learn how to shop safely online, compare prices across retailers, track deliveries, access your bank account online, pay bills electronically, transfer money between accounts, and recognize secure payment indicators. We cover security best practices to keep your financial information safe.
Smartphone & Tablet Course
Master your mobile devices with confidence. This course teaches you how to navigate touchscreens, install and remove apps, take and share photos, use GPS navigation and maps, adjust settings for accessibility, manage contacts, send text messages, and extend battery life. Both iOS and Android devices are covered.
Video Calls & Digital Communication
Connect with loved ones through video calling platforms. Learn to use Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, and Microsoft Teams for personal conversations. We cover setting up accounts, starting and joining calls, using camera and microphone controls, screen sharing basics, and troubleshooting audio and video issues. Perfect for staying close to family and friends who live far away.
